Tharawal Trefoil Guild

Last updated: 16th August, 2005

Tharawal Trefoil Guild meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at Miranda Guide Hall.

26 July 2005. A brief meeting was held at the hall followed by a day trip to Bundeena driving through the Royal National Park at a leisurely speed. We then had a tour of Maiinbar and Bundeena stopping for lunch at Bundeena RSL Club.

The day was to celebrate our 20th Birthday and had a good feel to it. All 14 Tharawal members were able to enjoy the company of each other and the outing. Special thanks go to Bill Lusty our driver and to the Congregational Church Miranda for the use of their bus.

May 24 2005. No meeting was held on this day as a new kitchen was being installed today.

Saturday 14 May, 2005. Six members attended the State Gathering being held at Glengarry (60th Birthday of the Trefoil Guild).

June 28th 2005. Great excitement, a new kitchen!! A hundred per cent on the old, just wonderful. Miranda Guide Hall is tops now, the hall itself is living - now to liven it up with the sounds that Guides can make. This meeting, we used the “Den”, the Support Group have given us a key, which was much warmer and cosier.

After the business part of the meeting we had morning tea and a quiz that Barbara had organised. It was very, very hard, the top score was 12 answers out of 25 questions – lots of fun and laughter.

Our current Service Project is giving Support to Manam Island people where 18 villages have been destroyed by volcanic activity.
