In Term 4, the Dolphin Guides had two Promise Ceremonies, and two visits to Bindaree for canoeing, including our End-of-Year party. We also worked on our Safety Trefoil 1 badge and our Pet badge. We invited a vet to our meeting, and a dog trainer - it was great fun!
Term 3 was busy for the Dolphin Guides, with three new girls joining the Unit. The term started with a ferry trip to Bundeena and finished with a Unit Camp for mothers and daughters. Miranda Dolphin Guides Endangered Australian Animals Mother Daughter Camp We made origami black swans before the camp, and platypuses and kangaroo hats on the camp. Krubi made a koala and a bilby. We used these in our Guides Own and for Ellie's Promise Ceremony. Thank you to Shoko (http://shoko-origami.jp-au.com) for sharing her wonderful Australian Animals origami designs. Wide game fun!
Term 3 started with a great ferry trip to Bundeena. The Miranda Dolphin Guides had a fun-packed Term 2, with a "Free Fun and Friendship Night" with Loftus Brownie Guides and girls from the local community. We also worked on activities associated with the Rope badge and the Food badge, learning knots, doing skipping, learning about healthy foods, learning how to read cereal packets and cooking yummy pancakes and pizzas. A sad note was when we farewelled our Junior Leader, Sara. Sara had worked with the Dolphin Guides for over 4 years and she will be missed.
