Guides Australia is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Sutherland Shire Region Guides comprises 10 Districts - plus several Region Units - over 60 uniformed adult Leaders, and a Region Team of about 15. There are over 350 girls ranging in age from 5 years to 18 years who belong to Sutherland Shire Region Guides. Sutherland Shire Region Guides was awarded the Sutherland Shire Council's award for the Community Group of the Year, 2000. Many Guiding Awards have been earned by the dedicated, hard-working and enthusiastic Leaders of the Sutherland Shire Region.
